2 Corinthians 4:17-18
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Dear Victory
ReplyDeleteEven those light afflictions we never need to carry along for our Lord Jesus walks right behind us!
Blessings XX
Mia
Amen, Mia! When it is too heavy for us, it is just right for God. Blessings to you!
DeleteThis has always been an encouraging {but challenging!} Word for me. It is not always easy to view our afflictions as light. And yet, that is how God sees them - and so it must be so. The challenge is to see things as God sees them. That is a prayer I pray regularly! Have a blessed week!
ReplyDeleteIf we can ever really get a hold of that truth, we will be able to sleep through storms just the way our Savior did. Have a blessed week!
DeleteThank you for this message! Taking my mind off what is temporal and focusing the savior definitely puts me in a better mood and it gives me peace!
ReplyDeleteVisiting from scripture and a snapshot. I invite you to come visit me at Judith Riddle Photography.
Blessings,
Judy
Absolutely! That's the challenge - to focus on the Savior and all of HIS goodness.
DeleteWonderfully affirming Scripture!
ReplyDeleteHi Anne! Thanks for visiting, and have an amazing week.
DeleteThanks for this reminder to lift our vision higher, Trinity. As we learn to embrace an eternal perspective, our struggles are seen from a different, and heavenly, vantage point.
ReplyDeleteYes, Alison. Our natural eyes can't even see that vantage point. That is why we must continue to look to HIM!
DeleteYes, Yes! To keep our eyes on Him, focused on what is true, eternal, glorious! This is our aim, our prize, my friend!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, Linda. Thanks for stopping by, and having a week filled with peace!
DeleteI need to remember to keep my focus on the eternal instead of temporal things. Thanks for linking up with Scripture & A Snapshot.
ReplyDeleteThat's the focus, Jennifer! You're welcome, and do have a blessed week ahead.
