Today, I will share a review of a snack bar that I received in my July Conscious Box. Conscious Box is a monthly subscription box ($19.95) of eco-friendly products.
This is what Conscious Box had to say about the nutrition bar:
Apples, cinnamon, organic gluten-free oats - oh my! Skout's Organic Apple and Cinnamon Trailbar is packed with health-boosting benefits alongside a deliciously natural yet oh-so-satisfying taste. Free of soy, dairy, refined sugars, and other artificial fillers, Skout makes it easy to pack healthy, fulfilling snacks, whether you're heading to the office, the gym, or the trail!
My review:
The Skout Bar is made with all organic ingredients. It is perfect as a lite meal or snack - very filling on an empty stomach. It satisfies the sweet craving. However, unlike other candy, cookies or other sugary sweets, it is sweetened with organic agave nectar and dates. And, did I mention? There are no unnatural preservatives on the ingredient list!
It is the perfect accompaniment for a fresh brewed cup of coffee (I enjoyed my bar for breakfast. I ate it on a day when I had to do breakfast on the run!)
Will I purchase this product?
If I could buy it locally, I would -depending on price. I checked with my local healthy market, and they don't carry it. I try to keep a snack bar in my bag, especially if I know that I will be away from home. It curbs the urge to impulsively buy unhealthy snacks due to hunger. My favorite bar to carry is Pure .
Have you tried the Skout Bar? If so, did you like it? What nutrition bars have you tried?
I love your new design!
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried the bar but I'm dying to try conscious box!
Thanks!
DeleteIf you decide to give Conscious Box a try, let me know how you like it.
I'm with Bekah! I've been thinking about Concious Box. I need some healthier options. I haven't even heard of Skout!
ReplyDeleteBefore I tried it, I had not even heard of Skout either. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteHi Trinity,
ReplyDeleteNice review! Thanks for sharing about the Conscious Box.
I've never tried Skout, but I have tried other bars. I'll definitely check out the website.
Take care,
Evelyn
You're welcome, Evelyn! Have a great week!
DeleteI don't eat bars, but if you do, this sounds like a perfect option. I would prefer to have an apple or other piece of fruit. Your blog looks fantastic!!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy eating fruit, also. Thanks, and thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteHello sweet friend! Great post!!!
ReplyDeleteHello Ashley! Thanks, and I hope your week is going well.
ReplyDeleteI like KIND bars.
ReplyDeleteI have heard of that bar, but I'm not sure that I have tried it. Thanks for visiting again!
ReplyDeleteI used to do bars but cut them out when I realized what some of the ingredients were, but this one looks pretty good. The price point would have to be competitive with my regular fruits and nuts that I use as snacks, however.
ReplyDeleteI truly understand, Alison. There is nothing more nutritious than whole fruits, nuts, and vegetables. Having a bar , for me, is about convenience, and it curbs that desire to pick up a candy bar. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi Trinity! I have been mia due to call of family. Love the new look. I have never heard of the snack bar. I do not do to may snack bars but if I do I may get a Larabar Bar b/c it only has two or three ingredients. Living F.A.B.ulously on Purpose
ReplyDeleteGood to have you back, Margaret! I'll have to try the Larabar. Praying for you!
DeleteHey Trinity! Too funny! I got the July Conscious Box, but gave my husband the bar, lol! I'll have to ask him how he liked it! Thanks so much for linking up this week! Have a blessed rest of your weekend my friend!
ReplyDeleteI hope your husband enjoyed the bar.
DeleteYou're welcome! Thank you, have a great week ahead.
