Don’t give the enemy access into your home and then expect him to NOT destroy your home. When you invited him in, you knew exactly who he was. You read his resume. And, he is only doing that which his resume said he would do - kill, steal and destroy!
- It’s one thing when the enemy plunders his way in. But, it’s another thing when we willingly allow the enemy in.
- It’s one thing when the enemy impersonates somebody else and we are unaware of his true identity. But, it’s altogether different when we don’t have to wonder about his identity and we know exactly who he is.
- It’s one thing when the enemy gains access by stealing someone else’s identity. But, it’s altogether different when we generously give the enemy identity. In other words, we identify him as family, as friend, as someone we trusted and shared intimate moments with.
- Many are permitting the enemy free reign in their lives. There are certain things that should remain off limits and hidden from the enemy. (Our Lord spoke in parables so that the message was concealed from some.)
- Many are allowing the enemy access into areas that should be exclusive to those who are truly a part of the family - to those who have proven themselves. The Apocryphal book of Sirach 6:7 says, If thou wouldst get a friend, try him before thou takest him, and do not credit him easily.
Permitting the enemy free reign, my fiend, must stop! We have to stop allowing every stray cat entrance into our lives. Everybody that we meet is not supposed to have a front row ticket into our personal space. Please understand me - the enemy is going to come. (...the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force -Matthew 11:12) But, we must RESIST.
The calendar year is quickly coming to an end. It is time to clean out, weed out and discard. Don’t wait until spring! Do it now.
Pray for discernment and the Most High God will reveal what to do and how to do it.
Shalom
