Enjoy Your Blessings!

Matthew 26:11 reminds the reader that "the poor shall always be" in the world, and throughout the Bible we are admonished to help the needy.  However, we must be careful that we don't allow the needs of others to make us feel guilty concerning the things that God has blessed us with.  When we give and help the less fortunate, we must give in love - not out of manipulation or compulsion!  Remember - that which you give does NOT have to be seen by the world. (thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. Matthew 6:4)

2 Corinthians 9:7

(Let each one give [thoughtfully and with purpose] just as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver [and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift].)

The Attacks of the Enemy

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 10:10

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Psalm 34:19

Stay alert! Watch out! Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, searching for someone to devour.
