Crockpot Oatmeal
One of my favorite ways to enjoy a bowl of oatmeal is by making Crockpot Apple Oatmeal. Check out an easy recipe, HERE. The good thing about making Crockpot Oatmeal is that different fresh fruit (of your choice) can be added to make this a wholesome meal. Leftover Crockpot Oatmeal can also be rewarmed or eaten cold. I have made oatmeal this way several times - each time tweaking it to my preferences.
This time, I cooked the oatmeal with 1 diced , medium-sized apple.
I topped this oatmeal with cinnamon, ground flaxseed, and raisins.
YUM!!! Hope you have an amazing week, my precious friend!
ReplyDeleteYou, too! Thanks for visiting.
DeleteIs this all it takes? I've never been a fan either. I need some healthier options. Maybe I'll try it Trinity!
ReplyDeleteYep, Joi! that's all it takes. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI was never a big fan of oatmeal because I found it so mushy. That's when I was eating oatmeal from those little packets with flavors in them. Now that I make my own, I love it. Nice and hot and ready when I get up in the morning when I use my crock pot. It's like someone made me breakfast. I especially love the nutty flavor of steel cut oats. 2 Thumbs up on this recipe Trinity. Thanks for sharing this with our readers at the Let's Get Real hop. I really look forward to visiting your posts each week.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how different foods taste when you're eating "real" food. Highly processed food really does have a different taste. I'm glad I found a way to enjoy oatmeal - especially since it is so good for our health.
