Premature announcements and celebrations may sometimes empower the enemy. Oftentimes, we are our own worst enemy. Proverbs 6:2 reminds us that “You are snared (trapped) by the words of your mouth;” Many times, we share aspirations, dreams and visions far too soon. Every blessing is NOT meant to be shared before the appointed time. Certain blessings are meant to be TREASURED before they are ever SHARED. Remember that what was meant for your peace often disturbs the cohorts of Satan. When Satan's cohorts are disturbed, they begin to frantically work - spewing out venomous verbal attacks attempting to destroy your assurance and your confidence in God.
Satan attacks your assurance - causing you to question God’s divine participation in whatever God is blessing you with.
Also, Satan attacks your confidence - creating doubt in your abilities to participate in whatever God is blessing you with.
Satan is crafty in his approach. Satan often implements those who are connected to you (your inner circle) to carry out assignments. Naysayers, doubters and people who are blind to your vision will cast spirits of doubt and seeds of failure within your spirit. These spirits of doubt and seeds of defeat can take root down on the inside and grow to produce a mindset of failure.
Satan does this through countless ways including (but not limited to):
enacting mind games,
refusing to acknowledge, to celebrate or to congratulate your accomplishments,
isolation/ostracization, and
implementing the silent treatment.
Remember that the enemy is very cunning in his approach. HE has a bag of evil tricks that he uses against those of us who are seeking God’s kingdom. Paul reminds us in 1 Peter 5:8 that the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Be careful that the words you speak do not ensnare you and give the enemy room to work in your life. (Ephesians 4:27 admonishes the believer to Neither give place to the devil.) CLOSE your mouth until the appointed time. The Most High will tell you what to say, HE will tell you when to say it and HE will tell you to whom to say it.
Therefore, hold on to your dreams and visions until the appointed time. Don’t be so quick to share - until after you have truly basked in HIS anointing and treasured your long-awaited blessing!
This is an excellent read and so very true. We need to be careful of sharing what God has spoken over our lives and most importantly we need to be careful of the mind tricks of the devil. Blessings
