- pain,
- grief,
- disappointment,
- frustration, etc... when they are experiencing it .
BUT
When the roles are reversed, the same one(s) that once experienced the pain, the grief, the disappointment, the frustration, etc..., don't even have a clue how to reciprocate the concern and empathy that was once given to them.
Doesn't it just frustrate you when you have been there to bear the burdens of others, and they have not been there for you?
Doesn't it anger you when you tell someone what you are going through, and they respond so apathetically?
Just wondering...
I was reading this and nodding my head the whole time. Yes,it does anger me that people are so quick to forget how you were their bridge over troubled water and then they act like they can't relate when you are going through something.
ReplyDeleteThis is just the nature of human beings in general. People have selective memory when it comes to what they go through vs. what others go through.
