2 Corinthians 4:17-18

17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

  4. This has always been an encouraging {but challenging!} Word for me. It is not always easy to view our afflictions as light. And yet, that is how God sees them - and so it must be so. The challenge is to see things as God sees them. That is a prayer I pray regularly! Have a blessed week!

    1. If we can ever really get a hold of that truth, we will be able to sleep through storms just the way our Savior did. Have a blessed week!

  7. Thanks for this reminder to lift our vision higher, Trinity. As we learn to embrace an eternal perspective, our struggles are seen from a different, and heavenly, vantage point.

    1. Yes, Alison. Our natural eyes can't even see that vantage point. That is why we must continue to look to HIM!
