Doing You Well Wednesday #3 - "Letting Go"

Letting go of emotional pain is a choice. It is a choice that we must make if we are ever going to be free.

Although we wish that certain things never occurred in our lives, there is nothing that we can do to erase the painful memoirs that are forever etched into our past.

Too often, we replay
· every horrible act that was ever committed against us,
· every humiliating moment that we ever experienced,
· and all of the times that we were disappointed because of
something that someone else failed to do.

Although we want to forget and let go, we tend to rehearse all of the cruel suffering we ever endured. At the same time, we vow to never again allow anyone to inflict upon us this kind of pain.

We must not continue to live in it.

We must learn from it.

I don't know what you need to let go of, but I do know that it is time to stop allowing it to keep you in bondage.

So, tonight, I am making a vow to let _________________ go. Will you make that vow with me?
Fill in the blank with whatever it is that you're letting go.

Philippians 3:13-14

...forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Happy Sunday!

Watch what you say!

Your words are powerful.

They can bless or curse.

They can edify or destroy.

With what words are you filling your heart?

Luke 6:45
King James Version (KJV)
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Doing You Well Wednesday #2

Counting My Blessings

So often, we take people, situations, and things for granted.

But, today, I count my blessings.

And, I start in my home.

Today, I choose to express gratitude for my family.

First and foremost, I am grateful that I have a Heavenly Father who is my all and all.

I am grateful for a husband who is very caring, compassionate, and loving.

I am grateful for four handsome sons and two beautiful daughters who love their father and me.

I could go on and on - counting my blessings.  But, I'll stop here.  It's your turn!

What are you grateful for?

Happy Sunday!

Be the person that you were created to be. No one can "out-do" you when you are being you. You were created to solve a specific problem. No one else can solve that problem - but you. God made you an original, not a carbon copy.

Psalm 139:13-14

For You formed my inward parts;

You covered me in my mother’s womb.

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

You were born an original. Don't die a copy. - John Mason

Decluttering

Decluttering is often a very painstaking task that, for so many of us, can become overwhelming.

For me, decluttering has not been a priority on my list of things to do.

Not because I don't want to do it.

Not because I fail to see the need to do (I REALLY DO KNOW THAT I NEED TO DECLUTTER).

But, it is because I'm not sure how to do it without later feeling ever so guilty thinking that I got rid of something that I will later need. And, since I can be a pack-rat, decluttering is an emotional chore. But, tonight (YEAH!), I have actually packed several outfits that I no longer wear. Tomorrow, those outfits WILL leave my house never to return. I have resolved to rid my closets of excess clutter that has occupied space for way too long. This is a small step, but it is a part of a process.

Just wondering, do you have some things that are cluttering your life?

In the mighty name of JESUS, Amen!

God Is Doing A New Thing In 2013!

God Is Doing A New Thing In 2013!
Just over the past few days, these scriptures have been brought to my attention over and over.  God speaks through HIS WORD.  Here ye the WORD of the Lord.  I discovered this song via www.jesusbea.com.  It is so appropos!

Isaiah 43:18-19

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

1 Corinthians 2:9

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
